Shavi Churchkhela Espresso Coffee Blend
Of walnuts into the mixture by hand. It was practical food — something sweet, nourishing, and durable — carried on long journeys and shared at the table. When we tasted this coffee at the roastery, churchkhela came to mind almost immediately.
Not only as a flavor note, but as a feeling. The way sweetness builds slowly, the soft depth underneath, the way it stays with you after the cup is empty. That familiar, comforting finish is what made us choose this coffee — it reminded us why simple things, done with care, last the longest.
Shavi Churchkhela Espresso Coffee Blend
Churchkhela is made by threading walnuts (or sometimes hazelnuts) onto a string. The nuts are dipped repeatedly into a thick mixture of grape juice and flour, then hung to dry.
Each dip adds a new layer, and over time it forms a chewy, glossy coating around the nuts. Once fully dried, churchkhela becomes a naturally sweet, nourishing treat that can be stored for long periods.
