Ethiopia Sidama Bensa Bombe G1 Natural Filter

We’re drawn to coffees that combine exceptional flavor with a meaningful story. For the past four years, we’ve partnered with Daye Bensa in Ethiopia, sharing the same values of quality and transparency.

This naturally processed Sidama lot, sourced through The Coffee Quest, stood out for its sweetness, clarity, and the care behind its production. Grown by farmers working with the Abore station, the cherries are dried on raised beds for up to 25 days — preserving the vibrant fruit character that makes Sidama coffees so special.

Farm or Mill: Abore Station | Ethiopia

The Abore station lies high in the Bensa district of Sidama, between 1,920 and 2,020 meters above sea level. Managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma, it serves over 1,000 smallholder farmers who bring in cherries from the surrounding highlands.

Named after a nearby bridge built in 1997, Abore has become a vital hub for quality-focused production in southern Ethiopia. The farmers grow local varieties 74110 and 74112, and during harvest season — from December to February — cherries are dried slowly under the Sidama sun, allowing the natural process to highlight the coffee’s rich, berry-like sweetness and floral notes.
