Cocapil is a family-owned cooperative founded in 2001 by Laerce França Faleiros and 12 local producers in Ibiraci, Brazil. Created to support small and medium-scale farmers, the co-op was built on a simple idea: give producers direct access to markets that value quality.

While exports began in 2017, the roots of Cocapil run much deeper — grounded in generations of coffee growing experience. In recent years, the focus shifted from volume to value, encouraging members to pursue higher quality and more sustainable practices.

Today, Cocapil represents 850+ family farms committed to fair pay, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement — ensuring Brazilian coffee is not only produced with care, but recognized for its true worth.
